JENN RAPP is a Director/Choreographer living in NYC. In 2011 she'll be working on two Off-Broadway productions, an original rock musical for NYMF and a new musical for FringeNYC. Twice a year, she boards a cruise ship to direct & choreograph the ongoing NCL production of LE CIRQUE BIJOU, a mix of aerial circus choreography and modern dance. She has extensive experience mounting national and international tours of popular cartoon TV characters, putting the likes of Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, Thomas the Train and Scooby-Doo into original musical theatre productions. She has traveled to numerous countries, working for companies such as Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Disney Creative Entertainment, HIT Entertainment, and Warner Brothers Entertainment and worked with casts in English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hebrew and French. As a Choreographer, she has experience in a wide variety of theatrical formats: Off-Broadway, National Tours, large-scale musical revues, traditional musical theatre, commercials and even a musical investment seminar. These shows reflect her skills in a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, modern, partnering, hip-hop and some comedically infused heavy metal thrashing. She worked with Gordie Brown, comedian/impersonator, in Las Vegas, helping him shape the moves for his one-man show at the Bellagio, and on the world premiere production of FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL at Disney World in Orlando. This past year she Choreographed the US National Tour of MADAGASCAR, and Directed/Choreographed the US National Tour of THOMAS AND FRIENDS LIVE! and the Spanish and Latin American Tours of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS LIVE. She also worked with John Carrafa on ACADEMY for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. |
